Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - E3 2018

Most of Nintendo's E3 presentation focused on the latest addition to the Super Smash Bros. Series which was revealed back in March, now with the title Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, launching on December 7th. The majority of their presentation focused on this upcoming title, so there's a lot to get into.

Nintendo kicked things off by going over all the characters in the game, where it was revealed all previous fighters would be in the game. From Pichu to Bayonetta, all characters are here, including Cloud and Snake. Most notably, Link, Zelda and Ganondorf have undergone the largest overhaul to their appearance, but many other characters got tweaks to their appearances, as well as their movesets.

As with any new Smash Bros. game, new fighters are inevitable. While previously we only had Inkling teased, this time around Inklnig was officially revealed, alongside Daisy (who is an echo/clone of Peach), and the long awaited Ridley.

Among other things, an assortment of stages and items were showcased, notable additions include the new Moray Towers stage, as well as the Fake Smash Ball and Launch Star as items, and Rodin and The Squid Sisters as Assist Trophies. With such a hyped game, we expect news to continuously come until release. However keep your hopes low for new Fighters, as Sakurai himself said there won't be too many new additions this time around.

As with new fighters announced, it was inevitable they would receive their own amiibo, and Nitnendo has announced that Inkling, Daisy and Ridley would all be receiving their own amiibo. A special GameCube Controller was also announced, as was a new GameCube Adaptor to coincide.

If you want a more in depth look, Nintendo's got you covered. A large chunk of their presentation went over the changes to their characters, which you can watch below!

Nintendo has also set up an Official Blog where they seem to be posting news daily. You can also head on over to the Official Website to check for updates, as well as more information on the title. Villager will also be returning, so be sure to check out this post where we go more in-depth on his return.
