Galarian Ponyta Officially Revealed, Exclusive to Pokemon Shield

As previously reported, Galarian Ponyta has been revealed for Pokemon Sword and Shield, but now The Pokemon Company has released a trailer officially revealing the Pokemon, with a few more details that were unknown about the new Ponyta variation.

Everyone already expected this Pokemon to be a Galarian Ponyta, but what fans did not expect was the type. We mentioned in our previous post that a lot of fans - including ourselves - assumed this would be a Fairy type. However, it's officially been revealed to be a Psychic type.

On top of that, the Pokemon can have one of two abilities, one being Run Away, and the other being a new ability called Pastel Veil. This new ability prevents the Pokemon and its allies from being poisoned, and will also heal its allies of poison upon being switched into battle. The mysterious missing tail hasn't been mentioned though, nor has a Galarian Rapidash.
