Brand New Details Revealed in American New Horizons Commercial
Nintendo of America have released a new commercial for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The trailer, titled "Nintendo Switch My Way - Animal Crossing", runs for 30 seconds, and has a mother and daughter showing off their island, and a couple of new details!
The trailer itself doesn't show off a whole lot, but it does give us a couple of new snippets, where the game looks absolutely beautiful. There are about 9 screenshot moments that we've nabbed to discuss what we've noticed.
The first seems to show off the welcome screen. There isn't too much note worthy here other than the lovely scenery, but it does show the - button will open "Save Data Settings". What this means currently is unclear, it could be how to delete your save data, create a new character, or even a way to turn off auto-saves. Some have also speculated that this may be where Cloud Saves could potentially be located, if Nintendo have changed their stance on it.
The next batch are again pretty to look at, but nothing overall exciting. The final one does show off another map, which depicts a small secret beach up the very top. Whilst this could just be for aesthetic purposes, we doubt this is the case, and believe it most likely leads to somewhere else. Exactly what it's use has yet to be revealed, however. The inventory screen also shows that items can be stacked up into at least piles of 20.
Finally, we get to see how the players have decorated their town. This shows off some more. It also shows off some red chrysanthemum's to the left of the players house, something we don't believe has been shown off in game until now.
The final set are small compared to the rest, which is a shame because they look absolutely stunning. We can see in the beach setting there is a sandcastle and a ball on the sand, which may see the return of balls from the GameCube version, rather than purely aesthetic purposes.
That's all we managed to note that seemed worthwhile from the trailer, but let us know if we've missed anything. Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches for Nintendo Switch on March 20th.
