Materials

Materials are necessary for crafting new equipment and items, and can be found all over the island by interacting with the environment. However, some DIY crafts may require furniture items in addition to crafting materials. Below are a list of materials found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and where to get them.

Tree Branch - Trees
Wood - Trees (Axe required)
Softwood - Trees (Axe required)
Hardwood - Trees (Axe required)
Acorn - Trees
Stone - Rocks
Clay - Rocks
Weed - Weed Plants
Red, Yellow and White Tulips - Tulip Plants
Apple/Orange/Peach/Pear/Cherry/Coconut - Trees
Iron Nugget - Rocks
Clump of Weeds - Plucked from ground
